This evening in the ABC Treehouse in Amsterdam, Rebecca Walker will talk about and sign copies of her book Baby Love: Choosing Motherhood After a Lifetime of Ambivalence.
A biracial daughter of divorced parents, Rebecca Walker thought long and hard about having a child of her own. In this book she chronicles not only her pregnancy, but also what it is to actually be a mother, as opposed to the – often romanticized – idea of being a mother. Writing is in her blood; her mother is Alice Walker, author of The Color Purple.
For more information and to make a reservation, see the Treehouse website. Entrance is free.
