Store Bits: Bukowski again, 80 Beers, David Hewson and NSS 2014

If you have a chance, come to the Bukowski exhibit at the ABC Treehouse in Amsterdam this weekend.  Photographer Joan Gannij will be there on Saturday and Sunday, the 22nd and 23rd, from 14 – 17 hrs; it’ll be your last chance to see Bukowski pictures and artifacts!  You can see some pictures of the opening earlier this month on our Facebook page.

Our Luke reports that Tim Skelton came by ABC Amsterdam to drop off more of his popular book Around Amsterdam in 80 Beers – so Luke got him to sign them!  He also says to stay tuned for a possible summer event centered around a new book about beer temples and festivals.  You can be sure we’ll post about it here…

Author David Hewson is launching The House of Dolls, his new thriller series set in Amsterdam, at ABC Amsterdam next month.  He’s quite excited about it, as you can read on his blog.  🙂  Of course, so are we!  He also posted a free iBook with background to his new series, for those of you that want to do some homework.

And finally, you might have heard about the NSS 2014, the Nuclear Security Summit happening in The Hague next week.  If you’re planning to come to The Hague, be aware of quite a few road closures and diversions, etc.  An overview of all that’s happening can be found here (in Dutch, though).  Luckily, most of the alterations aren’t in the center where ABC is, so drop by any time!
