Store Bits: too many to count

So many Store Bits since the last one (…20februaryohmygoodness…) that I’m going to hoof it through them!  Event updates (like DCC) in the next Store Bits.

Cards Against HumanityFirst off, a message from Jitse: “Now in stock: Cards Against Humanity.  You’re not worthy.”

I don’t know how they’re doing in Amsterdam, but in The Hague this first batch was sold out in no time at all.  More on order, folks, and we’ll take reservations!

DeafMessAnger notebook displayNext, Nadine made a picture of the beautiful new DeafMessAnger notebooks display at ABC Amsterdam.  “We absolutely love ’em!” she writes.

Eagle-eyed Daria spotted ABC Amsterdam, and our very handsome Paul, in a segment of TV talkshow Buitenhof.  Check this link, from about the 20:50 mark!

New shelves at ABC The HagueI got the go-ahead to fill up some new shelves at ABC The Hague with Prize Winners, Staff Choices and Customer Choices.  Can you recognize yours (click to embiggen)?  🙂  The Customer Choices I took from You Reviews and from Your Favorite Reads 2014.  You can find these near the front cash register, below the reinstated 3 shelves of New York Times bestsellers.

Fellow blogmistress and Tweety Bird Ester has been busy creating shelves with new content for you, too!

The New Health Rules - Frank Lipman and Danielle ClaroOur Jilles also mailed in with one of his favorite new titles of the moment: “With loads of gorgeous pictures and the best tips about health now available, The New Health Rules is the best present you can give someone.”

In case you missed our amazing Nyjolene sing with her band Gotcha! on De Wereld Draait Door at the end of February, you can still see and hear her here and here (she’s the lone lady in that sea of boys).  Do, by all means, go see Gotcha! live.  They are amazing!  Tour schedule can be found here.  🙂

Of course, Nyjolene isn’t our only songbird.  We are also lucky to have the very talented Luke Nyman in our midst.  Luke has been singing and songwriting forever, and has recently released a new single called London Underground.  Well worth a listen, and go see him (and his band, when he has one) live, too, when you can.

Eric Ries window AmsterdamI love this Amsterdam window display in honor of Eric Ries’s Live on Demand visit.  There’s just something very cheery and homey about that bright V; it’s like a crackling-but-safe-for-books log fire.

This is a little late, and was featured on our Twitter feed, but still: Did you see the lovely The Sheep and the Wolf‘s very first Book Haul vlog?  All the books came from ABC The Hague!  We are very honored to be featured – and impeccable taste, my dear!

Second Sight Spring 2015 issue: TactileOur Lynn is featured in this Spring’s issue of e-zine Second Sight.  Her article is called “A Tactile Experience”.  We can print a copy of the magazine for you on our EBMs.

And, to make it nice and full circle, let’s finish with something else from Jitse: his themed recommendation lists:  Zombies, Steampunk and Comics Make You Smarter!
