Barracuda is the blazingly brilliant new novel from the author of the phenomenal bestseller The Slap.

A moving story of a young boy, who is an ambitious swimmer, and possibly Olympic material. Danny feels on top of the world and he can see his bright future ahead of him.
There are some flash forwards woven into the story that show a very different future, and chapter by chapter, you see what has happened to Danny's dreams.
Tsiolkas' narration is pretty raw, in both language and description, and to me, this emphasizes the deep emotions contained in this book.
