A year in, he's still figuring things out, but he gets the task of organizing her daughter Samara's sweet sixteen at the original Storybook Endings location while Amy prepares to open another arm and hopefully turn her empire into a franchise. When Taylor lands in the quaint, quiet area of Upstate New York he doesn't expect to be so entranced by the big, burly and warm energy of Amy's very off-limits ex-husband. Never mind that Taylor's been on a dry spell and that Ethan would be the perfect drink of water to end his drought.
For Ethan, he expected Taylor to be all of the sleek perfection and cold disassociation of the west coast and its corporate ladder. He never thought the man would be a sunny, hunky twink with kind eyes and a radiating sense of joy. Of course, Taylor is closer to his daughter's age than his own, and what would a younger man with the world ahead of him want with a divorced older man whose life has been poured into this one upstate inn? But the two men have to work together to organize Samara's birthday, and as they encounter one another across the magical property of Ethan's inn, their scorching attraction is undeniable, and it almost starts to feel like Ethan's fairytale may have a happy ending on the horizon after all.
