The Other Family: an utterly compelling novel from bestselling author Joanna Trollope

Chrissie, in the twenty-three years she'd been together with Richie, had always believed that he loved her.

The Other Family starts in London, where a wife with 3 daughters unexpectedly loses her husband Richie, a singer from Newcastle. After hearing about the will, the realisation dawns on everyone: Richie never pursued a divorce from his first wife in Newcastle, whom he had a son with, and never married Chrissie, the woman he spent the rest of his life with.
Switching back and forth from the families in Newcastle and in London, the novel allows you to feel for both families, and makes you wonder how you would react to a similar situation.
I enjoyed this Trollope novel a lot.
