This is a fast-reading journal of a renaissance woman's trek through Europe. Throughout her travels (mostly on foot; occasionally using public transportation when absolutely necessary) she interacts with the local culture, comments on their food, wine and general ambiance. Although American, she picks up enough of the local lore and language to be at ease with the "locals" and is guided to areas the average tourist would never see. This is not a "travel book" per se but a personal observation treated with humor and light-heartedness.
