A beautiful written but very bleak story. Set in the future where multinational corporations use bio-terrorism to enhance profits, oil-reserves are depleted and the sea level is rising.
What especially works in this novel is the setting. A dystopian Bangkok where you really don't want to live but yet is both vibrant and full of life. Add in weird bio-engineering technology and basically you have Bladerunner meets Bangkok.
